We ship from many different warehouses across the US and sometimes orders can be shipped together and other times they can not. So it is possible your items may arrive separately. We have NO CONTROL over this
Once we ship your order you will receive an e-mail confirmation of your shipment. This includes a tracking number and a link to our carrier's website where you can track the progress of your shipment. Please note, we assign tracking numbers before our carrier actually picks up your package and tracking links may take up to 24 hours to be activated within the carrier's system. We have NO WAY of setting up appointments for delivery, when ordering you agree to be available for the shipment delivery and if requested you are to inspect the item being delivered before signing for it.
If you have tracked the item online and it appears that something is wrong you should contact the shipper first to ask about the item in questions, have your tracking number handy. If the situation is not resolved quickly you should contact us immediately.
We ship to APO AE, APO AP, FPO AE, and FPO AP addresses. Some large items like upright basses, cellos, and drum sets can not ship via post office. Only small items can go to a post office box or thru the post office. All international shipments that require duties or taxes are the responsibility of the customer purchasing the item.
We use many different shippers like Fed Ex ground, UPS ground, Post Office, and Oversized carriers( Central Transport, SAIA). We also offer ground, 3 day express, 2nd day air, and overnight services for an additional shipping fee. Once all items have been added to the cart and you have input your address info the next pages will show you the different shipping options and rates. All Express/Overnight/2nd Day orders posted after 11:30 AM Eastern Time will ship on the following business day
Customers must contact us immediately to cancel an order. If your item has already shipped you are responsible for all shipping charges. No shipping is refunded on cancelled orders that have already shipped out. If item is refused during transit or undeliverable the customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
We make every effort to package our items well. Once items leave our facility it becomes the responsibility of the shipper to deliver it in new condition. Please notify the shipper in the event of damage to either the box or the item inside. Shipper must be notified within 48 hours of receiving. Item must be repackaged back in original box and by ready for shipper retrieval. Customer is responsible for making arrangements with shipper to retrieve the damaged item. (All UPRIGHT BASSES must be inspected while driver is present, in the event of damage the UPRIGHT BASS must be refused. Once signed for you become the owner and any claims must be filed from your end.) For small items that are shipped via UPS or FED EX you must contact the shipper and request an inspection and pickup for return to the warehouse that shipped your item. Once the shipper has retrieved the item please contact us Toll Free and give us the pickup number so we can issue a replacement item. We can not issue a replacement until the damaged item is on the way back to us, your pickup number is our confirmation of that.
UPRIGHT BASS QUESTIONS/POLICIES
All UPRIGHT BASSES should be fully inspected in the event of any visible damage, please do not refuse the bass if damage is minimal, ie..broken string, easily replaceable part, if bass neck is broken or bass caved in you should refuse and contact us immediately. If you are unsure PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY WHILE THE DRIVER IS THERE. Once you sign for the bass, you become the owner and any claims of damage must be filed directly with the shipper. In the event any Upright Bass is refused for ANY REASON other than damage the buyer will be responsible for all shipping both ways. Color tones on the basses can vary.
There is a charge for appointment residential delivery, this charge is $50. Unless requested and paid by the customer we do not use this service due to the excessive charge.
It is very important that customers inspect the bass before signing for it. Oversized shippers work their insurance and inspection different than UPS or FED Ex so once signed for you become the owner. WE CAN NOT RETRIEVE A DAMAGED BASS WITHOUT ADDITIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES BEING INCURRED SO YOU MUST INSPECT BEFORE SIGNING. Thus we recommend that you have the item shipped to your work or where ever you are likely to be during the day. We have no way of scheduling delivery appointments and once in transit you must speak with the shipper directly about delivery and times. Sometimes you can do A WILL CALL which is where you inspect and pick up the item at the terminal in your area. Sometimes the terminal may be close and other times it may be 2 hours away. Call us before bidding and we are happy to find out where the terminal is in your area and schedule your shipment for WILL CALL if you want to do a pickup. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BASS IS DAMAGED AND I SIGN FOR IT?
Because you did not refuse the item we can only request an inspection which can take up to 30 days and than request the shipper return the item to us (another 7-10 days). We can not issue a replacement until the damaged bass returns to our facility and is checked. Thus you should always inspect 'oversized' items before signing anything.
IS THERE ANY WARRANTY ON BASSES?
It is very hard to carry a warranty on basses because the charge for return shipping each way exceeds the value of the bass. Should a replaceable piece be defective on your basses we will make every effort to replace it at no charge. We do not in any way warranty strings. We do not carry any extended warranty on the basses we sell but have always taken good care of our customers
DO YOU SHIP UPRIGHT BASSES TO OTHER COUNTRIES?
Upright basses can only be shipped to the continental USA and Canada. We do not ship to any other countries, nor do we ship to Alaska or Hawaii. Additional fees will apply to Canadian customers including Canadian taxes of 7%(Of Canadian Value), a $40 brokers fee, and additional shipping charges which can range from $120 to $160. WARRANTY & RETURNS
Upright basses are sold new on an 'as is' basis and are not returnable. Books, CD's, DVD's and any other form of instructional media or software is non refundable. Once you receive your item you have 7 days to review it. We do not accept returns once the 7 day trial period has elapsed. If you do not want to keep the item you may return it to us. Your item must be returned immediately after the 7 day period and reach us within 10 business days. A Return Authorization number is required for all merchandise returning to our facility. Contact us to receive an RA number. Items without a RA number clearly visible on the outside of the package will be refused. Once you receive your RA number from us the item must be returned immediately, RA numbers become inactive within 10 days. We do not refund any shipping (both ways), duties, or taxes, original shipping charge will be deducted from the item price, this includes items with free shipping. Any mistakes made by the customer while submitting information on the website will be the customers responsibility. Our responsibility for shipments ceases once the items are in possession of the shipper. Item must return in as new condition. Any missing parts will be deducted from the sale price. A 20% restocking fee will apply to all qualifying returns.

Shipping Charges—Taxes and Title
Most orders received before 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, are shipped the same day! Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays will be processed the next business day. As a security precaution, initial orders and orders shipping to alternate addresses may be held for extended verification. We reserve the right to make partial shipments, which will not relieve you of your obligation to pay for the remaining deliveries.
All items purchased from Great Music Products LLC are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
In the event you are not available or able to be present for delivery of your item all shipping charges incurred will be deducted from any refund given.
